So Michigan huh...they do have water, lots of it from what i hear...if only for that visual water fix..may help. Yeah, hear ya on the "holiday" thing... sometimes family, kids, friends kind of want that "movie" Christmas/holiday time...hard to pull off...why try, should be a comfortable experience for all. Hoping you & Kahill had a nice time on the voyage..that will be a nice memory after all this Christmas hullabaloo is over. Hopefully no commitee meeting held...just tell them you want to take up the accordion..that outta cause a lull in whatever they may have planned for ya. :-) My son and i opened gifts in front of the roaring fire, had a lovely dinner and watched a few hours of the Deadliest Catch marathon....(my sea fix)... now i'm going to make myself a coconut rum/orange dry sode concoction and watch more Captains on the high seas... weeeeeeeee! Stay tough Captain... this won't last forever...just sit back...close yer eye's and think of sailing....and smile.....fool's em every time! Capt. Terri...Twizzler of shallow bays

Sounds like it was very manly indeed..lol...now if i heard u did it Montana style (bare feet) I'd be sooo dang impressed! Right now..i've got a spiral ham in the oven, pearled creamed onions cooking...fire in the fireplace, xmas music on...doing this in a very womanly fashion....right down to the hunting for the dead mouse that may be in the coat closet..ick. But do I have my pearl earrings on. :-) Glad i have a stuffy nose today. U find an accordion yet?? :-))

Mr. Smith...
You look like a good person - a 'Happy Chappy' and you keep a nice boat - them biscuits look very fine...
I have been shoe horned into a Vancouver Condo for the last 7 years - still sailing - but I am going full time liveaboard again soon - crawling distance to work too...
I admit to being 'afeared' - I will miss my bath tub very much - but not much else to date...
I am thinking of a liner for the cockpit footwell - always thinking...
Have a good holiday - post recipes...

Damn - I keep commenting to myself to my own page - this site is different to boatdesign.net ...

Thanks! Twizzled is 25', beam 8', draft 4', sloop rigged all lines lead aft. First boat..had a late start even tho had her bottom painted in the water the last Mon. of April. All my exp. had been on inboard engine boats..this one has an outboard. Outboard came out of water in Nov 08 working, after marina commissioned...not working..spent almost two mo. finding a new o/b and having put on. So aug/sept/oct/nov...about 35 sails....two omygeezus moments (one o/b died after backing out & other hit by a strong crosswind and didn't know what the hell i was doing..only a small scuff) other wise..about 33 perfect dockings. Can I singlehand..can on a 20' in a lake with no engine..didn't yet on this one..although probably can..as my boat's co-owner very green at beginning of season and I knew there would be no "flying squirrel" leaping onto dock when coming in for her. Had the roller furling block that's attached to the pushpit stancion come undone..on the "gonna singlehand the boat" week..so chickened out a bit. Learned alot in 3 1/2 months sailing..satisfied with my progress... no blood shed, no accident reports filled out..no running aground... a good summer. Taking the boat to a Y.C. in Winthrop, Ma. in the spring. on a mooring. Will singlehand in May when boat gets splashed. Kind of enjoy the company anyways! LOL... Very impressed on your sailing! Wow...a brave one! or nutz!!! :-)
