Land Adventures while traveling in the BEST SAILING STATE in the US!

I am traveling this week for work via land vehicle (i.e. automobile) to down near Miami.  No big deal, I do this once a year and it is a pleasant drive from O Town.  .

I got the car packed up, then got on the road by 1:30 p.m.   At the point of NO RETURN on my way out of O Town, I figured out I forgot my cell phone...how about if I just leave my arm instead?  ARG!!!    I manage to calm down, and figure that I will do fine because I will have internet and can call the hubby from the hotel with like, you know, a phone with a leash, ewwwwwwww, and give him my room number.

I continue my journey only to have my GPS run out of batteries right outside Miami....you know, when you need directons THE MOST...oh, and did I mention this was during rush hour?  Rush hour north of Miami?  Did I?  And there's a reason I don't leave even the marina without my GPS on...because I get lost walking up the street!  Hey, that's what I depend on the hubby to do!!  LOL

Luckily, by some incredible guidance by God in bumper to bumper traffic I remembered enough to get to the hotel.  It was a tremendous help that I was able to see the hotel from the interstate I was driving!  No problems, except that I had to return to the front desk twice because my keys would not work to my room.  That is now resolved, and I am about to go out and gaze upon a magnificent lake (ok, it's a pond, but I can use my imagination) outside my balcony. Thankfully, even if the keys don't work, I can still get back into my room from there.

Hope you are having fun wherever you are....stay safe and dry!
