Yet, I act as if researching names of folks I know on facebook and other links will bring me closer to my circumnavigation. It must be a need to connect with those I already know. Afterall I had a great day looking at a 42 foot trimaran and no one to share my experience with. Well, Sammy, my dog, is here. After a few tosses of her plastic, squeezey, shrieky dog bone, she curled up in her little bed. Then, there's Smokey the Bear, Danny's 54 year old snuggly who now shares my bed. He's a good listener but doesn't offer much verbal feedback.

Throughout my life, my stuffed bears and dolls have provided me that childish sense of security and animation. As an adult, they bring out my sense of humor, though I've discovered many folks don't care for dolls. In fact, some folks definitely shy away from them. Me, I love my special baby doll, Smokey, and my 61 year old Teddy Bear. The bell in Teddy's ear no longer rings, but I know it is in there. Not sure who to 'will' these treasures, to. Guess I should ask around. I would hate to have them join me in the incinerator or six feet under. Perhaps, though we'll all sail down to Davey Jones locker together. Uh,,,,,,,,,,,what a gruesome thought. Certainly, a fate that needs to be avoided.

Avoiding such a fate is the focus of my boat shopping, such as when I inspected a 42 foot Crowther tri. I like the way she looks on the outside, found the interior interesting, but believe she is too much of a project. I asked two experts their thoughts on this handy man special. She certainly has potential, but am not sure. As soon as I determine if she is structural sound and capable of crossing oceans, I'll consider more seriously. It was worth the 8 hour drive to give her a look. Anyone know of any other tris in the 30-45 foot range for a low budget gal? The one thing I would prefer in a tri of that size is to be able to get inside each ama from inside the main hull ---- so on a nasty day if needed, I won't have to go out on deck to reach those areas. Also, I thought the boat should have more bulkheads.

Anyway, let me know what you know....
