Another new experience; I am going to try and upload a pix of the knarly sky today before sunset. It was taken between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach along the rock sided ditch. The marina is nicely kept and a great shelter. Well, as sheltered as one can usually get, but for those details you'll have to read my book,,,,,,,

Ron and I discovered Holden Beach about 4 years ago. We sent him a postcard and took some photos.
Glad things are going great. Happy you bought a new lens. When Nikon replaces your "kit" lens, you can sell it and re-coup a little of your loss. BUT you probably paid too much from the camera store, but what the "H"
You need to use your hood. The lens came with a hood didn't it? If not, you need to buy one. :-) Although your photos are pretty good, It will make a big difference in your photos. ALSO while taking photos from your boat (movement) turn on the "anti-shake" or whatever it is called on a Nikon.

I can meet you if like, and pick you up by car. Need to go to store?
