With the rudder and one solar panel on, and two new batteries on the way, it is time to pump up the dinghy, install the other solar panel, then zip on the dodger.  With all these dodads done  SPRAY should be all set for a Friday evening or Saturday daytime sail. With a little luck I will have a special guest on board. Then for fun my women's team will embark up the river about two hours to join the East Coast Sailing Association's frostbite cruise and bar-b-que at Ballard Park.

Girls only will be spending the night aboard SPRAY; sorry no boys allowed!!!!!!  Although they are welcome to help cook up some good eats and fun on shore before the ladies stumble back on board.

In the morning we expect to have a nice cruise back home.

The event will cause minor stress though as I am insecure about anchoring and leaving SPRAY out of my sight. We may have to resort to tying up to a private dock hoping the residents are not home. Or, maybe we can plead we are damsels in distress. It is possible we can anchor close enough in the harbor. HMMMMMMMM, duh, maybe I should just call the marina and pay for dockage. Now, there's a legal idea.

In the meantime, my boat helpers, Maryanne, Mike, Linda, Paul, Rodney and even Amy & Carol are to thank for getting SPRAY in great shape. Next projects:  getting the rigging on board (it will be ordered within 2 weeks), then ordering the webbing for the trampolines, and lastly adding life lines with stanchions and some electronics.

Wow, at 4:33 am as I write this I realize I unintentionally am practicing staying awake for up to 36 hours. Silly me opted for a cup of coffee rather than a glass of wine while celebrating Amy's birthday today. Oh well, in 45 minutes I have to wake up for my P90x workout, then be at work for a long day of meetings.

P.S> I need to remember to take pictures of my auto helm for Lola who has been patient.

That's it,,,,,g-night, or is it g-day?

You worried so much about anchoring, and you did a fine job. No problems. It was a very nice weekend, I think we didn't drive each other as crazy as we do sometimes! Thank you for inviting me along with the girls. I got some nice pictures I will show you today & see what I can post! Linda

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."
