Ever wonder why we do what we do?? Boating that is, for me it the "rush" every time I can get the rail in the water on a broad reach..or trimming the sails to get that last half knot going to windward. And there are the times when things happen that you have no control over at all, like "lighting strikes". A couple of weeks ago, not sure when, lighting hit something near the harbor, and we all walked around saying "sure glad that didn't hit me", well wouldn't you know many of us were effected. Over the past weeks, boat owners in the harbor have been discussing all the thing that now don't function anymore, funny how that works, my list is up to about $4k, pretty sure I've found everything, but who knows??Now, the next issue, do report to insurance, pay the deductable and possibly have rates go up, or not, and just eat it one small bite at a time? That decision still needs to be made...but it got be thinking about this hobby that many of us really love, you know, it might be cheaper to play golf or something else, but it still come down to "being out there" you know that "Rush" thing again...wind looks light today, and it's sure hot outside already this morning, so can't wait back down to the harbor to mess with what I love most about this "way of life"

Beautiful lines on this boat. I used to get a rush out of driving my little Spitfire . I've even driven it on some int. race tracks just for fun.. " What a rush this was until............." I fulfilled my dream and got my little sail boat. Now I know what adrenaline really means !
I sail a small CS 22, nothing like this beautiful boat but the rush is there, regardless.
