Jeepers Creepers where did all this dirt and grime come from, not to mention leaves and trees and pollen, and weeds, and dirt, and boat scum? Yuk, I've spent more time cleaning this past week and I still have a long way to go. It all started when a friend agreed to help with yard work for a nominal fee. Three of us spent 8 hours raking, trimming, and carrying debri to the curb on a beautifully sunny day. I was so determined to get the yard clean I failed to take water breaks and by Monday morning I woke with a nauseating headache. Several times I fell asleep at work. By Tuesday I was back to my 60 ounces of water a day.
Then, this week-end another friend and I scrubbed and rubbed the bottom of SPRAY, polished the metal and sanded the rough spots. For hours and hours (except the five I took off to crew on a race boat) my boat has been getting her six month clean up. After all, the guy from Germany is expected on Thursday. Because he already sent a decent size deposit I'm pretty convinced the deal is a done one. Though I know not to count my chickens before they hatch. I did so anyway. Besides, if SPRAY doesn't sell the SASSY SAILORS are racing her in the Miami-Key Largo Race in mid-April. So either way she needs to be at her best.
I just keep my eye on the possible next boat for my big round the world cruise. Yet, I committed to buying a sail for another boat. I'm just so addicted. Now, jeepers ka deepers I am home on Sunday night wanting to edit pictures of last night's full moon rise and chat with other friends. Jeepers Ka deepers it's time to get ready for another week of work. I don't want to go to work.Jeepers ka deepers why can't I win the lotto, or be smart enough to make an incredibly good investment.
Ay, gee,,,,,,,,,,
