I'm busy preparing to depart Montreal for Santiago, Chile, where I will do the tourist thing on a KTM 650 moto for 6 weeks before delivering a brand new "Chris White" designed 60" cat to San Diego, California.

Well it's now September, 2008 and I'm back from the successful delivery. I never did do the moto trip, but did manage to tour all of northern Chile and spend a week on Easter Island, as well as spending a month in Valdivia, Chile at the Alwoplast boat yard observing the gang there put the finishing and final touches on the Atlantic 57.

Future plans ??

Either ship my BMW R1200GS Adventure motorcycle to Columbia in Jan, 2009 and spend 2-3 months touring S. America, OR, leaving for CHINA at the end of February, 2009, and trek 400 KM to the K2 base camp over a period of 22 days.

A comment for Bobbi and Terri....I just spent my first summer in 5 years at home here in Montreal (no yacht deliveries). If nothing happens between now and Jan., I'll shop my moto to S. America and ride the continent for the next 3 months. Africa will be next-late 2010/early2011.

Ness, I just saw your post of crewmembers. I checked out your profile and was just curious. Did you decide to head to S. America with your bike or go to China? Both sound pretty exciting to me!
