Looks like Mickey Mouse town is due to get some effect from Hurricane Ike. Hanna will pretty much miss us...spinning out fairly far east in the Atlantic...WE HOPE... Josephine doesn't look to be a threat to us, so that's somewhat less worry.
Ike is another story. He is predicted to hit the southern tip of Florida and we will FOR SURE get some major wind and rains the first part of next week.
This weekend will be spent doing the various chores one does when a hurricane may hit. Most people in
O Town weren't so paranoid about hurricane season until Charlie. Everyone who lived through that storm in this town takes them VERY seriously.
EW is tied up and down. She will be hammered by Ike too, but at least it looks like Hanna will only dump some rain over on the east coast. There will probably be some gusty winds but not anything horrible or threatening [unless something drastically changes.] Of course, since the east coast just received quite a lot of rain from Fay, there may be some problems with flooding.
