i sit here waiting to repair what broke and some other stuff as well, and i watch th swells of th sea --- wanting to be there instead of in a harbor--- there is a peace in the ocean that does not exist in harbor or on land. there may be storms and seas and disrupted water, but there is a peace in htat.
there are also fishies......
i am convinced i should find a waterman as a mate, as opposed to any other kind of male ... watermen know the sea and the ways in which it works and moves. i believe my uncle -- the one who taught us all to sail, was a waterman as opposed to merely being a sailor. is in our genes. there are many sailors in life-- rarer are the waterfolk.
i am still learning,as are we all.
i found a waterman to assist me to mazatlan. i hope he is able to find his peace in life-- he is appreciated for his ability to navigate and sail these lee shore seas, as well as for his ability to read the conditions thru which we passed--- e were adrift for 36 hurs in places many find fear of rocks and such -- we were fine and didnt have any problem getting even close to anything of danger---as soon as the slightest breeze wafted to us, we used it to gain shelter in cedros islands only village and tie to a fishing wharf.
would be nice to find a soul like that for a mate. they are very very rare.
