I have 2 projects for this spring that are driving me nuts. One being replacing the rub rail, I know this is an old topic. I've searched every where including Seals & Spars who tells me its not available. I was thinking of buying plastic trim lumber (Plasteak) and having a wood shop duplicate the shape. Does this sound crazy?? It could be either white or wood color.

The second being the a propane tank for the stove, I have a good stove which has hardly ever been used, but no tank. My boat has the optional helmsman seat which has a spot for the tank. I have no info for the tank except its horizonal. I belive its a 10lb. I cannot find a tank to fit the space.

Does anyone have this setup. I have seen horizontal alum tanks, but there all to wide (and expensive $300-$400). Also this helmsman seat also blocks the fitting for the emegency tiller??????
