RI House Bill H5847

There is a NEW RI House Bill (H5847) introduced by Reps. Slater, O'Brien, Carnevale, Trillo, and Palangio that specifies people may only use a mooring for three years. Here are some quotes from the bill,



"No mooring shall be awarded to any one person for a period exceeding three (3) years."



"Moorings for all vessels over one thousand pounds (1,000 lbs.) and above shall be three hundred fifty dollars ($350) per mooring." That's in ADDITION to what you pay your…

Sailing Downwind a la Kayak style

Tired from a long upwind paddle along the intracoastal waterway bordering the town of Stuart, Florida we had a nice downwind reprieve for the second half of the tour.
