Preparing for sail to Leeward & Winward Islands from NY in late October for a few months? Have never been off the coast, but the desire to try to live on board and sail to exotic destinations (in my dreams at least), which is driving my every thought. Just took possession of Caliber 33 which was rigged and equipped for blue water sailing. Will be looking for crew, for anyone with a passion for sailing and exploreing, otherwise it will be a solo trip, which I guess I will do sometime in my life.
Current location:
Mamaroneck NY
Destinations visited:
East Coast from Boston down to Cape May. Crewed boat from FLA to Montauck LI. Traveled up Hudson River.
Vacation spots: Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Block Island, Cutty Hunk, Shelter Island and vicinity.
Looking to:
Travel by sail, visit exotic destinations, learn to live in a different environment ( no more work) and meet people, make friends and long lasting relationships.

"Hello Randy,
New to the group, going through the posts, I have come upon this thread. I was considering tinting my windows of my Beneteau 43 with a darker tint, but I really like your idea. So I will copy with…"
