Profile Information

Profile Type:
Sailor
Homeport:
Everett, WA
About Me:
Newly retired, my wife and I first owned a Cal 25 MK II we bought new in 1978, later belatedly sold when we moved for a career change. We most recently owned a J24 before selling her last Sept to buy a 1979 Cal 31 we are having retrofitted with new running and standing rigging, galley stove, water heater, autopilot, plotter, and forward deck hatch, to cruise her extensively in Puget
Sound and Canada. Have not joined a club yet.
Current location:
Port of Everett, WA Marina slip C-53.
Destinations visited:
Puget Sound on prior boat. We have used the ferrry system to see the San Juan Islands, stayed on Orcas Island, tent camping, now plan to cruise to points of interest..
Looking to:
Cruise. We have an interest in exploring warmer waters as our experience grows. We have traveled to and enjoy Mexico, but did so as a tourist not by sailing there. We have cruised the outside of Vancouver Island and up part of the inside passage to Alaska on a cruise ship last summer and now plan to do our own exploring in the Puget Sound and Canadian waters this coming season. Looking to make new cruising friends. Also discuss Cal 31 and other Cal maintenance issues, like rub rail replacement, on our two be done list. We have a WiFi antenna we added to use our laptop on board in the Marina, which has a hot spot that comes with the moorage, now able to use.
