Homeport:
Loch Lomond, San Rafael, CA
About Me:
USCG Master, Sail & Tow, STCW 95, US Sailing Certified Instructor- through CPM and Navigation. I captain a 51foot wooden Alden designed center cockpit ketch for a non profit- The Pegasus Project- (http://www.pegasusvoyages.org and click on Pegasus Project) that takes under privileged and at-risk youth out sailing on San Francisco Bay.
I live aboard on my 1933 50' wooden classic- Charles D Mower designed and built by Hodgden Brothers Boatyard (East Boothbay Maine). I am restoring her. I have taught sailing in San Francisco Bay and also the British Virgin Islands. I will be moving back to the Caribbean in a year or so- to Puerto Rico to start a non-profit school.

"Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones that you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
--- Mark Twain

" I find thee great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving. To reach the port of heaven, we must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor."
Oliver Wendall Holmes

" For the truth is that I already know enough about my fate. The day will come when I will die, so the only matter of consequence before me is what to do with my alotted time. I can remain on shore, paralyzed by fear or I can hoist my sails and dip and soar in the breeze" -
