I have been sailing since I was 9 or 10 years old. Ever since my dad got his little West Wight Potter I have, on some level, toyed with the idea of going off cruising around the world. I am starting to consider this more seriously. I currently own an Interlake 18. I have read every book on seamanship in the Chapel Hill, Greensboro, and Woods Hole, MA public libraries. I am now trying to get some experience as crew on larger boats. I enjoy doing mechanic work, cooking Mexican and Asian cuisine, and re-laxing. Of course I enjoy sailing! I am a geography major and have done independent studies in celestial navigation. On the personal side, I like the color orange, I have a three year old son, David, and I wish I could just sleep when it's dark and get up when it's light.
