Sailing a 1981 Catalina 38. "Tranquility" is a delight to sail. I have owned this boat for 12 years. When traveling, I take the opportunity to sail rental boats on various lakes and coasts. From the Chesapeake, to it never hurts to learn different rigs, and waterways to expand your experiences.

Mast Head Marina, Grand Lake, Ketchum OK
Destinations visited:
Sailed in San Diego, Lake Michigan, Chesapeake Bay, Salulita Mexico and various inland lakes.
Looking to:
keep "Tranquility" looking great as she is a great sailing boat that I have had many great weekends on with family and friends.

I have had leaks all over my port and chainplates. I took apart all my ports and sealed them between the glass and the frame, and between the frame and fiberglass. No problems since....
www.catalinadirect.com sells a kit with the right sealeants and gaskets, you should take a look at it.
The chainplates were sealed with 3M 101, and so far so good.
