Looking to:
Meet felow cruisers and plan a year cruise with my wife starting in Fall of 2010 to the Bahamas and Caribbean. Please send suggestions of how to make the most of a year away from day to day life.
I see you have been pretty busy uploading photos-wow. There are some great shots there.
The NY harbor is a great place to keep a boat in the summer if you work in the area. There are so many weekend escapes so close by. We chose to keep our boat in Newport Marina in Jersey City. Iris runs the marina there and you don't find such a high quality of service just anywhere. The price is better than Liberty Landing and it wouldn't be the same without Iris. So that is my recommendation for the NY harbor.

"I had to replace my sheeve on both sides and really struggled to get the bolts out. Once I had them out, each was bent thus the challenge. I ended up stripping one or two of the hex bolts and used an angle grinder to square off the head of the bolt…"
The starboard side of my Traveller is starting to lift up. I am guessing to remove the center 5mm Allen bolt that goes through the middle of the sheeves, although I cannot get it to budge, to access it. Does anyone have any experience with this??Thanks Dave B43 Shore's AdriftSee More
