Looking to:
Cruise the Great Loop. Also after my husband hopefully retires in 2012, I would like to start travel nursing and live aboard our Beneteau 473.
I love Marathon Key! It's been years, but we stayed at this little dive of a hotel which looked out on a beautiful tree lined little cove. We swam with one eye looking out for gators. Have a great time!

Hey Gaye...
This is a fun site. Love all the pictures. I just got a new camera for Christmas and hope to take some much better picture in the coming season. Thanks for the welcome! Roger
Sounds like a good idea. Figure out a weekend that works for all of you before March and let me know. Once March comes I'll be gearing up for the big haulout.
Happy New Year. Bet that was great fun on Glenn's new boat. Supposed to be a true blue-water boat...bet it's something. Has he sold his Hunter (no, I'm not in the market). Hope to see or talk with you some time early in this new year. Have you winterized or are you getting up there fairly often?
Gaye,
They close the roads into town on Friday morning, and have parking on the outskirts. I think it's closer to walk in from the Rosegill side. They open the road back up late Saturday or early Sunday morning. Not sure which. I'm sure with the fuel prices the crowds will smaller both by road and water. There was plenty of room to anchor last year. Let me know if you're going, and I'll forward my cell phone number. I can dinghy you over from my dock, or pick you up in town and bring you over for whatever dock party they may be having.
