Sorry about the slow response. Yes, it is Lake Ponchartrain sailing. We race every Wednesday night. Obviously we take the weather as it comes. It is a shallow water lake so strong winds develop waves that can reflect off the bottom and just get too large to endure.

I crew on a Shoal Draft Hunter 34 with about five other regulars and what ever other crew we invite; at the skipper's discression. After training another crewman to work fordeck my job is largely religated to passenger or 'Jesus' (I run to the assistance of anyone who yells "JESUS" and resolve any problem as expeditiously as possible so we can continue racing). I hope to be able to take more photos and post them showing various sailing conditions; as racing demands allow.
