Yep, even the sailboats know it is to cold. seems they run for the warmth of dry land this time of the year. Myself, maybe it is time to head south, maybe . . . In my twenties I actually thought I wanted to seek the expierence of four seasons. Maine was where i would expierence this desire of the young and foolish. When I retired in '03, to the annapolis boat show, ol blue and I. yes, we did attend, 5 1/2 days and did not see all. Yes, i was impressed! Now you must realize that i expected to be home on PANACHE in 9/10 days. Well, not to be . . . Annapilis, Penn/NY/Vermont/NH and Maine; ol blue and I traveled, many a day only 10/15 mile progress. I hiked basicly every trail and creek thu-out the northeast. I actually broke a glider in Vermont. The canapy failed to see the humor; my head, just a scratch. Purchased a 5 wt flyrod in vermont, also. New Hampshire and Maine, WOW. Now you remember the 9/10 day vacation stint. NADA, it turned out to be twenty-nine days and was CallieKat soo happy to see her wayward dad. Yes, it is absolutely beautiful; yet, too cold for my old decrepit bones. Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas and please have an exceptional New Year.
