The gas locker once you know what to remove first isn't too bad. The worst part is crawling into the cockpit locker and into the aft section under the propane tank. It helps to be a contortionist. The legs you see are to stabilize the stern railings. Between the outboard and davits they flex quite a bit. Not Beneteau's finest design. As for solar panels there are risers that install on top of the davit cross bars that will provide another 12" in height. Not sure when I'll do that as my name isn't Rockerfeller. If you know what I mean. Agh those off color covers:(. Yes mine have lost their paint too. I'm tempted to paint the a shade of grey that would match the boat trim. White would be nice but I suspect it'll be a bear trying to match color. It's on the list but way down there at the moment.

Hi Mike Thanks for that. Strengthening in behind the gas locker must have been a challenge.  Is there also a leg that goes all the way down to the bottom step or is that part of a crane or something for your outboard?  Solar is something I am considering too and in that regard I think the davits might be a bit low to allow for panels and easy access. Your thoughts?

On another matter I see the plastic covers of your vents and shore power inlets have gone yellow in the sun. Mine have too and they have been annoying me for some time, so this weekend I took them off and have given them to a painter to spray white.  Having mentioned it, I hope they don't start annoying you too now:)

Cheers

Gavin
