First Mate to Capt. John, my adventurous Husband with dreams of sailing the world in our 28' Westsail!
We will share our adventures as well as our ideas with you.
In addition to being as much of a "First Mate" as I possibly can~
I am, what is referred to as a "Lightworker", and "Crystal Child" of the First Generation so you will find that my post will include the reflection of my Spirit as well as my own take on the sailing adventures Captain John and I have experience. There will be funny stories, pictures and tells of all the hard work we had to do to get "Neptune's Toy" in the water sailing. Her story is a great one.
I just watched the slideshow of your refurbishing saga. We should compare notes. I didn't think there were many folks as crazy as I! LOL! Take a look.....http://travels-of-sv-far-niente.blogspot.com/

It is nice to meet you.....I have just arrived in the area and stopped here in Stuart, so we are almost neighbors. So far I like the area. Now the heat.......it is hot....any advice for a northern??? I just finished making my awning larger for the midship area and now need to work on one for the bow area. My plan was to go to the Tampa/Ft Myers area but the oil spill changed that so I think I will hang here for awhile. I am very impressed with what you folks are doing to the Westsail you have. I was on a 32 ft Westsail called Satori years ago and fell in love with her. I knew she would take care of me in most any weather. And that she did I was in her with about 65 kt winds out in the bermuda triangle. She handled it like it was nothing. Amazed me...I would go back out in her in a minute.
Yes the Satori was the one written about in the book The Perfect Storm.....I am very good friends of the Capt. Of course it is a book and was not as true as one would think...... we all have to make money one way or another.
