We should all be anchored off some no-name island in the Bahamas, having a few boat drinks while waiting for the water to boil to start the lobsters...but, hey snow is good too. :)

Sorry sports, but it's hard to have too much sympathy for you guys when I'm stuck up here in WV in two feet of snow! :--)

I don't know about you guys, but this winter has certainly sucked the life out of me. I have never seen such continuous, cold and miserable weather in NC in the 6 years I have lived here. I have absolutely nothing to blog about...other than the cruddy weather. :)

I'm docked at Point Marina in Whortonsville on Broad Creek. I suspect that my keel is in the mud since it is pretty close even at normal water level. Maybe it will discourage the barnacles. :--)
I'm going to check on the boat around the middle of next week. If anyone is close by give me a yell and pay a visit!

So, does anyone else have no water under their boat after the westerlies blew through Tuesday and Wednesday? Washington, Broad Creek, looks like a Bugs Bunny cartoon after some one pulled the stopper out in the middle of a lake.

Hi all, after being in New Bern three years from longtime Newport Beach, CA base I finally recognized the fact of winter and installed a Xtreme (Marine) heater in Keystone's engine room to supplant her Golden Rods and "trouble lights". Now she is warm and toasty and much more pleasant when aboard and without fear of freeze damage to fresh water systems when temps drop below 15 degrees. You? Carl

Hey group - Does everyone down here hibranate after the middle of November?
Not a peep from anyone here since then. :--)
I have been down to visit my "mistress" Finlandia a few times since I last wrote. Am trying to find time to head back down that way probably the second week of this month.
