Looking to replace huge/heavy formica Catalina table in salon. Have seen these hanging on bulkheads but don't know if you can purchase them already made or do I have to get the saw out? I'm looking for ideas. Have seen the one on Lola's Freedom 30. Tried to cut/paste here, no luck. It is on page 5 of here photos. Don't need teak either. Anyone have one of these or ever built one? Doesn't look too complicated to do without plans. Thanks, Terri

Hi there - try this site: http://www.catalina-capri-25s.org/default.asp for ideas and details. You probably can't buy anything there, but you might get drawings or details from someone that built a table like that. Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
Terri, I think you better get the saw out if your handy it will be great addition to your proud boat. Buidling a fold down table/shelf on that wall should be pretty easie, you would have to mesure to make it fit anyway.
You can do it, Terri. Just takes some imagination, a few nuts and bolts, a sheet or two (or three) of sandpaper, and a bit of stain and varnish. A nice winter weekend project.

If you subscribe to Good Old Boat magazine you'll see lots of examples and plans. Or just cruise the boat photos online. You can do it!!
Ok, I'll try...need powertools....yikes, gave all away when I sold house. Got some nice turned rail spindly stuff at a yard sale. Woman said went for around 30.00/yd. Two lengths for 2.00..deal. Will report back when done.
