Seeking recommendations for a Marine Surveyor in SE Turkey.
A good friend is intending on purchasing a 52'er in SE Turkey and I thought this vast group may have some members who have had some experience, good or bad, with marine surveyors in Turkey.
Any info might be helpful.
I might be doing the delivery, or at least the portion through the Med to the Balerics Gib or Canaries.

Thanks,
Pete

Pete,
I have a friend who has a brother in Turkey who just bought a sailboat. I'll get in touch and forward any info here to you.
Jamyjamy put me in contact with a German surveyor named Udo with good references.
Having additional surveyor references will only help, and this thread will be a future reference for anyone looking for a surveyor in Turkey.
My friend's boat is in Marmaris, on the south side of the next peninsula south of Bordum.
About 85 miles by water.
The Google Earth view of that area is awesome!
I might have to take a leave of absence from work to take a month to prepare the boat for the delivery....
Wonder what the wife would think?.....
I'm checking on the other site I am on
L O L A,

Pete

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
