Welcome aboard Doc, I presently have two sailboats, a Spirit 23 which I hope to sell in the spring and a Irwin 10/4 which I am doing some work on and hope to launch by June 09.
I have lived next to the Missippi River all my life, but never had the urge to sail until my Father-in-law took me to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico a few years ago and I saw the people there living on their boats and thought " I could do that".
It took 3 years to convince my wife that I needed a sailboat, That was now six years ago and I now have two boats. Is that love or what?
We have a pretty good area here to sail in, the river here is about one mile wide and we can goe twelve miles either direction without and dams or bridges.. In addition to sailing , we stop, anchor and fish for catfish.
I would like to invite you to Montrose for a sail next spring. Gary
Hi Scott,
The West Wight Potter 15 is a cool little boat. A lot of people seem to enjoy those boats, and sail them more often than a lot of the other bigger boats that never seem to leave the dock.
Put up some pics!
SeaKnots is a place for all, big and small.
Any pics of the WWP sailing in a corn field?
