I am a long-time dinghy sailor and racer who converted to cruising about three years ago. I've done some blue water sailing before, crewing on others' boats. My current boat is a 37' Jenneau, in which I own a share. My son and I are planning a circumnavigation in 2011-12, after he graduates from college. We're looking at different types of blue water boats right now, and are considering a 48 Cherubini, 45 or 42 Cabo Rico, 44 Cambria, 46 Little Harbor. Any thoughts on these would be welcome.
Current location:
Princeton, NJ
Destinations visited:
Primarily Chesapeake Bay, but also St. Thomas VI an other Caribbean Islands.
Looking to:
Buy a blue water boat that can be handled by two, is fast, safe and seakindly.
Sail around the world.
