About Me:: I moved to Oriental in 2005 having never sailed, now I can barely think of anything else. The waters around Pamlico Sound are a great training ground for any aspiring sailor. Along with great water and winds, Oriental is a fabulous place to meet people who have a lot of miles under their respective keels. So now in my 3rd season under sail I feel ready to take on longer adventures and hopefully start a lifetime of exploring where ever we decide to go. I never say no to a day on the water, rain or shine.

Current location:: Oriental NC

Destinations visited:: Many destinations in the Chesapeake Bay,Offshore passages to the BVIs, Belize, Key West, Bahamas, Areas in and around Eastern North Carolina, Charleston SC. hopefully many more in the future...

Looking to:: Looking forward to cruising up to Newport RI in September to work the Boat Show and around Maine for 3 weeks. Returning to Oriental in late October.after working the Annapolis Boat Show.
and our Charter in the Pacific North West, San Juan Islands on in August!

Welcome to the group, and I remember Oriental well! Spent the week of Hanna there last summer on my solo passage from Boston south. The folks at whittaker Creek were wonderful hosts and I hope to get back for a vist on my way back up this spring.

Would like to know how you made the contacts for working boat shows. I've done some deliveries to and from for varios yaht brokers, but have never got to work most of the shows.

Which marina do you keep your boat in NB, we have a few friends that were at the Sheraton and have moved to Northwest Creek or accross the creek to Bridgepointe. Good to meet so many neighbors!
