Boy, I guess you're "well seasoned" then! Salt behind the ears! Heavy weather can beat the hell out of a boat. It's that "after the storm" let's peer down into the cabin......always a "oh my god" or "holy shit" moment, then we sit back down & just sit...........lol...takes a while to get back to "normal mode"! Thank goodness for adrenaline!

Hey Mark,

Yes - Mahone Bay is beautiful place to sail - and a big boat building centre. I think your McVey was built at what is now the 'pipe factory' - whenever I return for a visit, I think about how the factory that now builds piping through which water flows, once built boats that flowed through water.

Hope you get there someday - it's picture perfect sailing on a sunny day.

Ahoy Mark, was googlin your boat and saw your sailnet profile. I see we both are rescuers in our own right. I too saved my boat from driveway dereliction. Fortunately the woman removed the plug, or there was no plug, I forget. Sounds like you had to go the extra mile than I with the TLC. Wish I had two jibs! Thought about adding a sprit, but then why mess with factory specs? I love her as she is. I was particular interested in seeing pics of yours cause, well, I was born in in '66! LOL
