crap wx coming across Ma. now. Will check for sat also..think showers in am? I spent last 8 days taking a Bowman 48' from New Bedford YC to Annapolis... was awesome!! Spent a few days in Annapolis taking it all in. Went to Annap. School of Seamanship and checked it out. Cool on you and you're new friend!

I was thinking...is it tonite? or was it last nite?? gracious..must be the wind howling thru one ear, right out the other.....too much windage & empty space.. ;-) Have fun tonite...lights may be blowing right off the trees. Hope they have Baby Heysus wrapped and weighted down. Remember the camera....maybe sideways blowing trees festooned with lights make awesome photos.

B43 Windlass Drainage

Doing some maintenance on my B43 Quick Antares windlass this year. After removing the windlass, I knew instantly that I should have been doing this at least ever other year.  The windlass was preforming weak and slow with a noise which made me think the motor brushes or a bearing was going out, thus the reason for removing it.What I found upon removal was a tremendous amount of salt and sand on the top part of the gearbox, literally packed in.
