Another question, or if you could put me in touch with someone who may have done this.

My new owner of the Freedom 30 was told to have mast taken out ,so as to add items to the top. Has this been done b4?..kinda scares me.what do you think?

Thank you.

Hello Bob. Touching bass after being away for a long time, due to breaking my leg  and being handicapped.  I sold my Freedom 30 to a new novice sailor. He is adding many extras, and doing a great job. The sails need cleaning.Any advice on your experience on sail cleaning is appreciated.  Hope you are doing well. Regards, Lola

Hi Bob, ok I went and did the w d 40 on the large and small sea cocks, under port settee. is a little stiff but moves fine...not like a water faucet.

When you open the big one does yours turn in both directions when open. i presume when it is up means open. So does that mean it is closed if I close it in either down direction?

Good to have advice from another Freedom owner...thank you.

B43 Windlass Drainage

Doing some maintenance on my B43 Quick Antares windlass this year. After removing the windlass, I knew instantly that I should have been doing this at least ever other year.  The windlass was preforming weak and slow with a noise which made me think the motor brushes or a bearing was going out, thus the reason for removing it.What I found upon removal was a tremendous amount of salt and sand on the top part of the gearbox, literally packed in. Upon cleaning everything up, luckily all bearings…See More
