Hello Everyone :o)
I can't believe that it has been so long since I added a post to this blog. We are in the Virgin Islands! Yes we crossed the Mona Passage and spent time in Puerto Rico and now we are at St. Thomas. It is great to have the Mona in our rear view mirror. Our last big passage will be from Virgin Gorda to St. Martin and then it is south to Grenada for the Summer and Fall. We are enjoying St. Thomas and we had a good time in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Our sail from Ponce to St. Thomas was a nice passage with just a small squall at the end to liven things up. It was a little wet however because a lot of the time we spent traveling through rain showers. Tomorrow we plan to make the jump to Virgin Gorda and then wait there for a good weather window to St. Martin. We have come a long way and our Hurricane season destination is much closer. We are looking forward to being someplace for a while without the goal of trying to get somewhere else. In time, I am sure we will want to move on again to the ABC's or Venezuela but for the next couple of months, we plan on spending some time in Grenada. Blue Heaven has done a great job of getting us here and we are very happy to have had a good group to travel with. There are 3 other boats in our southbound group right now with a couple of others that will probably join us at St. Martin.
Guess that's all for now. Will write more once we reach Grenada.

"Auto ascending setup is an interesting idea, though it takes a bit of fiddling around to get it right. Once it's dialed in, it actually works quite well."

"Michael, From experience over three keel boats a fully battened main is almost a requirement. Not only will it make dropping the sail into the boom bag far easier it certainly reduces any flogging and vastly lengthens the life of the sail. While…"
