Finally, I am seriously studying for the ham license. So far it seems pretty simple. Words I've heard forever about amps, volts, and meters are beginning to have meaning. Should get the technician test taken in a few weeks, then I have to take the next level one which will require another 20 hours of learning. Not bad though I'll have to quell my test taking anxiety.
Had respected sailing friends Dave and Sherry McCampbell do an overview of SPRAY. It was encouraging to have them bring to my attention only things I was already aware of: making sure all connections have an underneath plate so cleats and such don't pull through the hull. Dave also outlined an efficient way to anchor complete with the type of line and hook for the anchor line. Because I have been debating about putting in new windows I was pleased when Dave and Sherry both validated my concerns.
While the list hasn't gotten longer, my time to cross things off is getting shorter. Despite my ambition to be rise early, fix the garage door, and sell a few household ditties before racing with Sherry today, I ran into some chums last night, and well it is no surprise I'm a little worn out tonight. The rain, too, compels me to stay comfy on the couch. EEEKS/p>
I left the stern castle window open,,,,oh poopey, guess I better go down to the boat and dry her out,,,,,,,,,,,,duh?

Good luck on the Ham license. Got theTech in Wisconsin and the General in Georga while in Brunswick. It helps to download the practice tests . arrl.org has the question pools for all the tests free.
