Endless Wind took on some water and I have spent the morning and early afternoon drying her out.....nothing serious and she rode out the storm well according to our marina neighbor, Bill [who lives on his 27 footer]

The harbor-master and his helpers were able to un-sink some boats that sank, and re-tied lines as the water rose in the marina to extremely high levels. Just a bit below the dock decking....I think they must have taken watches because it appears that they were all up for several days making sure everyone's boat was safe.

So to them, I say a BIG THANK-YOU for being there. You guys are THE BEST!!! A special thank you to Bernie (now sailing his way up to the Chesapeake Bay area) and to Ed, and to Duncan. You are SPECTACULAR!!!

It looks like Fay is gone...it was clear at Merritt Island this morning and sunny....after 4 days of rain I am sure everyone was glad to get outside....I saw 2 manatees in the marina this morning...a mother and baby....absolutely a beautiful sight....they were close enough that I could have touched them from the dock....WOW!!!

Orlando is overcast and raining [well, there's a surprise...!] but it appears that the gusty winds have dissipated and that we will have more rain and lightening...and that's the price one pays to live in paradise.... :)

I will blog more as the tropical storms move in....stay safe and dry, everyone. And to everyone who wished me well about EW, I appreciate it very much. I am much more relaxed now!
