About Me:

Owner/Captain of Moonlight Fantasy, a 43' Nauticat motorsailor with pilothouse.
I call this my "Early Semi Retirement" At age 55 ,I have taken off 2 years from steady work at Walter Reed to sail but about every 3 months I fly stateside to do professional temp work to keep the money flowing. Des Moines Mar 8-May 25 is current assignment. The cruiser has 3 staterooms, 2 heads vacuflush, Galley with new stove, refrig and deep freez. Genset with 12 gel cell bat charger/inverter With bowsprit and aft dinghy platform it takes 50' at a slip . A 1983 boat with at least two prior trips to Southern Caribbean. ALL New Rigging Oct 09, rebuilt water maker, full 2009 FURUNO Electonics package with chart plotter, Radar, Weather Fax and NavTech, Fishfinder, +/- AIS . New Main '09, Genoa and Main and Mizen furl. New storm sail '09 ,windless, SSB . Crew mostly needed for trips but if crew can stay aboard while Capt is away working that is great too. I pay all food expense on boat and on shore. All boat expenses. If crew sticks with original plan or gives agreed notice then I pay half (return ) air fare . When not actively sailing alcohol use is tolerated and some supplied. Crew who are Gay, Bi, or Gay Affirmative prefered. Capt has partner who is working in Indonesia long term but may join for some segments or meet up at Ports. Looking to:

Recruit a volunteer sailor (21 to 60yr) who will accompany me on cruise from Barbados to Trinidad/Tobaggo and then on to Aruba. Crew could actually join the boat at Sint Maartin as we head to Barbados (June 1-26) Experience very welcome but qualities such as being responsible, dependable and open to learning the boat routines,including not being troubled by motion sickness are essential.
