I may well take you up on your offer to sail ! I didn't realize this was a Pearson. Thanks. Maine's not much further. My daugher went to school in Rockport and my Dad's family was from Wiscasset so I've been up that way. Explains a lot about the magic - I had no idea Somes Sound was the US's only fijord. My first cruise was in Maine out of Camden on one of the schooners when I was 16. I ended up happily the cook's assistant. They had a big ole wood burning stove. The crew would pull a seal up on deck and they would slide off the stern.
