Sorry about that I thought you were aking how we climbed on board our 43. As for questions feel free to ask about anything. I'll do my best to help out.

Michael, we have her tied up stern to and step on and off via the swim platform. We'll be moving her to a permanent marina in 2 weeks and will do the same thing there. Note that both have floating docks. I expect that we'll have to board thru the side gates when tied up to fixed piers. I'm 5'9" and it's a stretch for me to get on board without a step. My wife is 5' and definately needs a boost to get on board. We bought a collapsable stool that fits in behind the narrow panel in the galley next to the engine compartment. Not sure the panel exists on the 40.
