Ahoy, Dave. I'm the third owner of my little Westerly. I bought it from a man who had it on Tawas Bay for a dozen years, but the originial owner was on Lake St. Clair (his name is somewhere in my documentation, but I can't think of it now). I have no idea how old my sails are, but they're holding up really well.
I used to crew for a racing boat at a club near Windsor, Ontario aboard an Abbott 33'. We mostly did club racing on the Detroit River, but also sailed races and regattas on St. Clair. Lots of fun. But since I bought my boat I mostly cruise around the Monroe, Michigan area of Lake Erie.
I saw him today... he was working on a boat in the marina I work in. I manage the ship's store and transient reservations. I will definitely send him your message... and what is that boat in the photo..and where are you sailing now ?

french built 2010 43 has been very dry down below but now a slow leak has occurred which is showing at the limber holes under the floor board in forward cabin. Bilge pump goes every 3hrs for 20secs. Not sure if it’s fresh/rain water or…"
