For some odd reason I keep getting compliments on the paint job on this vessel; The previous better half and I ; BOTH did this paint job. It was not completed by one person, way too much work for one person, it does take two people. But thank you for such great compliments. As I stated before, doing it yourself, not recommended - hire someone to do it, less hassle! It is a lot of work. The vessel is keeping its paint job though. WE did a good job!

Date shown on this picture is wrong. 1/2 photos were taken by his camera, then camera died out; batteries in electronics never do work well with salt air, so we used my phone for the rest. He never set his ol' camera with correct date anyway, as other dates reflect.

This picture was taken around Sept. 2011, living with my bf at the time, from May to Oct. ; we completed the painting job on Tiekili. We started the job in Aug. (only the hottest time of the season) and finally finished it the second week of Sept. What a job! Almost three month job. Everything that you see on top of the vessel , accept the mast, had to be taken off and put back on after the painting. Even the hatch covers, including anchor locker at bow. Would I ever do a job like that again, Hell NO, hire someone, lot of work, effort , and time. We did do an excellent job. Had to work in tandem because the paint dries so quick as we all know. Everything was tapped, and caulked, then re-drilled and re-caulked again, this included all stanchions, windows, etc. O' it was fun! Great learning experience for sure. Recommendation  for anyone , hire someone, I would not do a job like that again; a s&((* load of work! LOLOL! We did well on her! I know that boat inside out and backwards, I have helped many of times over 15 years. Hot water heater, wiring for radio, railings, basic wiring, etc. Spent hours, weeks in help working on her, even acting as ground crew for any mast maintenance. You name it, I have learned it and remember all of it!
