We did pretty good this year, finishing first in our division. One of my crew friends bought a racing boat last year and now I crew for him. I reitred Serenity last year from racing after dominating our class 15yrs. It's fun to just show up with a small gear bag instead of spending hours getting the boat ready to race.
The one thing racing does for you, it makes you realize just how little you knew about sail trim, I sailed for years before racing and thought I knew how to trim sails, but once I started racing, I soon learned it's an art to trim sails which makes alll the difference between winning and loosing.

Nice pictures! How did you do this past season? I'm hoping to learn more about racing once I get the boat up to Boston. Hopefully will crew out of Winthrop or Cottage Park YC. This past summer was dedicated to learn my own boat and not run aground! Succeeded...phewww! :-)
