Somebody in their ultimate wisdom put this holy metal plate along the edge of the cockpit. It was in the perfect place for sitting up on the top edge of the cockpit so you could stick your head out in the breeze without being confined by the dodger. Who knows maybe the track was installed before the dodger was built. Even still, when entering or leaving the cockpit it was the perfect hunk of metal to stub your toes, if you are an intrepid barefoot kind of sailor. With proper shoes, you can see how the metal bar stuck up a good two inches making it a viable place to take a nice trip. Every one of my guests has complained about this.
Wally, one particular guest, thankfully solved the problem. Stay tuned for tomorrow's upgrade.
