Those of us in retirement age were blessed with living in the days of peace, love, and drugs. It was a fortuitous time when my brother and I shared an apartment on St. Paul Street in downtown Baltimore. Then, separated by different lifestyle preferences we amicably went our ways. Fast forward more than 40 years. We just spent this past holiday season together. Harry, my bro, became a city dweller who rarely goes as far as New Jersey and I who continues to travel to far off places made for an interesting visit. What plagues me most is why am I not content to stay in one place. Why not be like my brother who finds happiness in the familiar hustle bustle of city life. How can children grow up in the same home and be so different. One of my biggest fears of sailing off alone, is that I won't have that instant connection with my brother. After all, no matter how bad my life may become, no matter he will always welcome me. .....Who are the folks you rely on for emotional and moral support when you venture off shore? Again, I will be glad to share your information, the names of folks isn't as important as who they represent .....
