Day 5 Windlass

Why it is called a windlass is a curiosity saved for another day. Suffice to say the brand new model of the previous on deck unreliable Pro fish with free fall gizmo is about to go in the same bin. There is this capstan that should loosen when you want the chain to run out so the anchor will fall. The capstan seems to have a mind of its own and auto tightens so tight that I cannot loosen it. The frustration grew so bad I came below to calm myself with a midday cup of strong coffee. Decided to blog about it as a way to let steam off with a prayer that someone out there has a solution.
