"If I recall correctly #1 is the aft tank and #2 is forward. We had marked our valves with felt pen to help when switching tanks. I’d start with the forward tank since it appears the water is coming from that direction. Does it only…"

"One trick is to add a small amount of food coloring to the tank. The food coloring will make it easier to spot any leaks. Another option would be to use some Pink water Winterization. It too should pinpoint any leaks. Start with the Pink and move to…"

Fresh water leak B40

I’ve been plagued by a freshwater leak that is draining my water tanks. The leak is noticeable as a trickle of water coming from the compartment outboard of the compartment containing the freshwater pump and valves. It’s just a trickle coming From forward and draining into a small limber hole which goes under the hot water tank and the valve compartment into the bilge. I traced Everything forward of that trickle along the starboard side of the hull where there are various freshwater pipes, all…See More

Gary, I saw your email about the swim platform hose but couldn't find a way to link to it so here goes. There are a few ways to get not that area but you'll need to be a contortionist to fit. The first is through the rope locker. I'd try this one first as you may be able to reach the hose and fitting with a little luck. Another way may be to remove the cockpit speaker that sits right in front of it. You may be able to reach in from there. A third option is to go in through the cockpit locker. There's a plywood panel that sits on the aft bulkhead that pops out easily. Crawling in that area is not easy but may be an option. Last but not least is through the propane locker. You'll need to remove the liner the tanks sit in to do so. Note that you'll likely have to disconnect the drain hose that's on the underside of the tank which means crawling in through that plywood panel as mentioned above. Probably the solenoid wires too. BTW make sure you run some pink antifreeze through it come fall when you winterize or you'll likely get to do the job again. Good luck.

As soon as i get to the boat, I will send you a few pics. Although the fuel and electrical wiring are now hidden under hte floor in the port cockpit locker.

Hi Gary

Sorry, obvious mistake on my part there, have a look atwww.yachtconosur.com under modifications.

The unit took less than a couple of hours to fit but you do need to take a couple of things with you in the way of tools, however the most important will be the cleaning agent.

Any questions feel free to ping me an email on crew@yachtconosur.com too
