Been sailing for three seasons now. I own a 1986 Catalina C-25 with a tempormental inboard 11 hp Universal diesel. Love to gunkhole, explore, and meet new sailing friends.
Gave up on one for Twizzled, with mainsheet coming off aft end of boom wouldn't be deep enuf to keep sun off us unless directly overhead. Hat's n SP50 whilst sailing and a sailsunshade over the boom rigged when we're in slip & too hot.
Yes, Larry, I own this book. You're correct - lots of Gunkholing. I use Shellenberger's Gunkholer's Guide along with the Chesapeake Cruising guide to plan my trips.

Yeup! Too cheap to pay for a transient slip! Just drop the hook and kayak to explore or use the dink to get to shore. Gunkholes to date this season: Rideout Creek, Warehouse Creek, Rhode River, and St. Michaels.
