    Hello Gregg, Welcome to Seaknots, How are you adjusting to life in Mi after spending all that time in the Tropics? I just returned from 4 wks in Mexico , and this Iowa snow and cold does not impress me at all..
    In 07, I sailed from Chestertown Md to Iowa and I discovered the people of New York were not as scary as they were rumered to be.. Had a really great experience on the Erie Canal and met some really good people...I think being on a boat changes your whole outlook on life... Would like to know more about your trip. gary

    just returned to tha tugly place wherein shrimpers and fishers whine about oil without doing a dang thing about it--saw 4 of them loaded with porta potties going out with orange vests and steel screwed and glued onto their toes for a clean up exercise run--- was awesomje--the boom is ready at the hwy 90 bridge--i figgered that is too far into the area for any positive cleanup--but they want ponchartrain to stay clean.....i want the entire area to stay clean..lol i pray it does---smelled oil when we got between cat and ship island and the mainland--yukkkkkkk......
