Kathy Parsons has been living aboard and cruising since 1989. She has made two extended trips to the Eastern Caribbean/South America/ABCs, one to the Western Caribbean, and spent quite a few seasons in the Bahamas. Kathy and Bill Raynor sail a Downeast 38, Hale Kai. Kathy is the author of the books "Spanish for Cruisers" (now in its second edition) and "French for Cruisers", language guides that help cruisers in Spanish and French-speaking countries. Kathy gets together with cruising friends Pam Wall and Gwen Hamlin to give "Women and Cruising" seminars at boat shows and SSCA gams. They are now getting many more women involved in a "Women and Cruising" website to help women prepare to go cruising. Sites: www.forcruisers.com and www.womenandcruising.com
