So could I !! MN has got to be pretty cold right now. We have friends in St Paul and in the UP. The ones in St. Paul dig in and spend the winter cross country skiing. The UP folks are already in FL. We're leaving Charleston, SC first week of Jan '10 and heading for the FL Keys for a few months. We'll post anything interesting (or WARM looking) as we go. We'll keep you in mind when we see palm trees warm sand and sun!

My son Andre (29 years old) and his former college room mate both agree that for a single guy Charleston and the surrounding area (country) is the best. They sent me trip reports as they went from Morehead City, NC to the Bahamas in Andre's sailboat, Walkabout, and in each port down the east coast of the USA they commented on the women. They agreed that Charleston women were the friendliest they had met. For the women in east coast cities along the ICW, remember it was their evaluation and not mine. We've homeported our boat, Wu-Hsin, at the Cooper River Marina for the last 5 years and gotten to know Charleston and the surrounding towns like Somerville, Mt. Pleasant, and Harleyville and as a place to live and work it seems nearly ideal. We're leaving because we do our voyaging in the winter and would rather drive to FL and start where it is already WARM!
