- I finally attained my dream of buying a sailboat which happens to be a catamaran. I have taken a diesel class in Annapolis and went on a week trip in FL to learn how to handle the boat. I am hoping to get a lot of practice on the Chesapeake this summer. I have the boat on the Northeast River in Maryland. Am always looking for people who would be willing to share their expertise.

I live in Wayne and sail regularly on the Delaware River with Sailtime.
Sailtime has a Facebook section and you can check out their website. There are lots of good people and good sailing with this organization. My wife and I recently returned from a wonderful week in the BVIs with a 7 boat Sailtime floatilla. It was lots of fun and the cost of the trip was reasonable. I look forward to meeting you on the water.

Yes I mainly race, preferred position bow and navigator. I've done all of the bay races and entered a boat in the Golden Rock Regatta in 08 and won it. We did our own delivery from Guadalupe to St. Martin, so that was just cruising for 150 miles. Now I'm hooked on sailing in the Caribbean. I want to try long distance cruising now, in between races. Overnight cruises on the bay is a good place to start.
